The Almeria flight areaSpain (Andalusia) is a particularly ideal area for paragliding in the autumn and winter months. Above all, the province of Almeria has developed into the ideal destination for paragliders in recent years. The Sierra Nevada in the north of Almeria keeps out the bad weather fronts, so that the province of Almeria is one of the sunniest areas in all of Europe and Almeria is the city with the most hours of sunshine in Spain per year. Almeria airport is located east, towards Cabo de Gata and is about 15 km from the city. Almeria is located halfway between Málaga and Murcia, the distance is approximately 200 km, Alicante is approximately 300 km from Almeria. All cities are served by Germany. The travel time with the rental car is approx. 2 – 3 hours. Most of the pilots stayed overnight in the inexpensive and well-kept hostel “La Curva” in Adra.
